Speaker Wire 12 Gauge CCA, 100ft, Yellow/Black

The Install Link 12 AWG Gauge Speaker Wire Cable (100 Feet) Stereo, Car or Home Theater is very good cable that’s easy to install and provides very good stereo performance. I used this to re-wire my home theater system to my speakers. It ran smoothly and was easier to conceal than the older cable. The end twists tightened well without breakage for insertion into the equipment. When I finished there was no shorts and the sound performance was great. The insulation jacket of this wire seems very strong and durable enough to last for a very long time. I’m very satisfied with the quality and performance of the Link 12 AWG gauge speaker cable and consider it a very good value!

This is very good speaker wire. I am using it for my home entertainment system to feed my smaller bookshelf speakers although it can handle more of a load. I like that it is a different color then others as I use that to help me determine what speakers it feeds after pulling it. So far I have no complaints and it performs as I expected so I give it 4 stars.

Let me tell you, the 12 AWG Gauge Speaker Wire Cable is a perfect! I upgraded my home theater setup with this bad boy, and the difference is night and day. The sound quality is crystal clear, and with 100 feet of cable, I had plenty of length to work with. Highly recommend for anyone serious about their audio

I picked up this speaker wire because I was re wiring my 2 channel home audio system and needed longer wire for how I wanted to set it up, the price was fantastic for the 100 foot roll and the wire is phenomenal. The sound quality is cleaner and it seems like my speakers are receiving more power than before but that might be just because this is a larger gauge wire. Either way this wire is top notch stuff, easy to work with and has no memory from being rolled up. It is very flexible and has a soft jacket, most importantly it looks great in its color choices and lays flat or forms around whatever you need it to. This speaker wire is some of the best ai have ever worked with and at a great price point. I will definitely be purchasing more for my future wiring needs.

I got this to connect a couple of rear speakers to an old stereo. I recently got a soundbar on the tv where those speakers were installed, and decided I could reuse them elsewhere, but they were literally going to be on the other side of the room.

I saw this spool of speaker wire and it looked to be plenty long so I ordered it.

I am not an audiophile, and maybe this is normal, but speaker wire I have always gotten in the past was much smaller and less substantial than this. It really surprised me when I saw how big the spool was and how substantial the wire was. This isn’t a bad thing.

So, I ran a couple feeds from the back of my receiver out to the speakers. There was plenty of wire here and it ran well. Actually less likely to kink and all than the speaker wire I have used before, but also hard to tuck away discretely and hide, because it really is more substantial.

Worked great though. No issues connecting and the speakers are working.

Even though it’s not pure oxygen free copper, the larger gauge makes up for it. Aluminum is still a very good conductor. Jacket feels almost soft to the touch and is very flexible. Easy to strip, twist and insert into banana plugs. Well worth the price point. Highly recommended.

12 gauge copper cladded aluminum stranded wire. Install link typically has very soft insulation for the stranded wire which works great for sound systems and in vehicle interiors. I went with a yellow/black 100ft spool, install link includes a sticker in each one!

This is good quality CCA wire. It is true 12AWG. It has decent insulation, but is not overly thick so as to make it hard to work with. It strips easily and holds a crimp well. It is quite flexible, making it easy to run through tight twisty spaces.

This is a 100 foot spool of copper stranded wire. The wire is actually two individual wires in yellow and black casing. The 12 AWG size is good for higher powered speakers or 12 VDC wiring. I am using it on my golf cart to wire in a light bar and a sound system. It strips easy and looks really good with the yellow and black casing.

My speaker wire is probably 30+ years old and has gone through a few different installations at different houses that I’ve owned during that time. There was nothing really *wrong* with the existing wire other than it might be a thinner gauge than I would prefer and some of the sections are a bit short for where I would want to route the speaker wires these days. It’s also gotten shorter over time as the ends have become frayed from hooking it up to the various receivers and speakers that I’ve owned during this time when new equipment was bought or I moved. So, when Vine suggested this wire, I thought I would give it a review.

𝕀ℕ𝕀𝕋𝕀𝔸𝕃 𝕆𝔹𝕊𝔼ℝ𝕍𝔸𝕋𝕀𝕆ℕ𝕊:

I selected the yellow/black wire. The yellow color is a bit more subdued than in the image in the ad.

It’s aluminum wire, albeit “copper coated”, so I was a bit skeptical how well I could solder to it. I have previously reviewed the same brand wire by this seller / manufacturer, but it was solid copper, not copper coated aluminum. Aluminum wire does not take solder very well, but I was curious if being copper coated would make a difference.

I have been involved in electronics in one form or another for around 50 years, so I might have a bit of bias towards all copper conductors vs aluminum ones (even copper coated aluminum like with this product).

𝕊𝕆𝕃𝔻𝔼ℝ𝕀ℕ𝔾 𝕋𝔼𝕊𝕋:

Surprisingly to my obvious previous bias, the soldering test worked well. With the first test, I was not particularly satisfied with the wetting of the strands, but I was using a cordless soldering iron which had worked for 16-AWG CCA, but just did not seem to be up to the increased heat needed for 12-AWG. So, I cut off the soldered ends, stripped the insulation back, and tried again. I switched to a 60W corded soldering iron and added a bit extra rosin flux to the exposed strands, resulted in properly tinned wires.

ℂ𝕆ℕℂ𝕃𝕌𝕊𝕀𝕆ℕ:

You do not *have* to solder speaker wire — crimp connections are perfectly acceptable and some people even prefer that. It’s nice to at least have the *option* to solder if you desire that type of connection though. It takes a bit more heat to solder the 12-AWG than the 16-AWG stuff though.

Although not as flexible as the wire with silicone insulation, it still is pretty flexible.

I’m going to give it the same rating that I gave their all copper wire — 4-star (i.e. “above average”). That’s not because I think that it is just as good as wire that is all copper — all copper is definitely better. I’m just saying that if the requirements are just that it needs to work as speaker wire, use aluminum, and meet a certain price point, this is better than some of the other ones that I’ve seen.

To begin, I would like to emphasize that the product’s color accurately matches the image displayed. The material is soft and pliable, making it highly manageable during the installation of custom applications. I appreciate this aspect. Furthermore, the product adheres to the specified gauge size, and the quality of the interior is exceptional. The color options are also aesthetically pleasing. Overall, I am highly satisfied with this product and wholeheartedly recommend it for any custom audio installation or other relevant applications.

This is good quality speaker wire. I connected up a pair of new ceiling speakers to test it out and the one thing that stands it apart from using standard lamp cord is that this wire is very flexible. It comes in a variety of colors and the plastic cover is quite thick which is another difference. In the photos I compared it to 12 AWG solid copper electric wire to show the comparison in the thickness of the sheathing.
